Hope you All are in great spring mood, just like me! At last! 🙂
Today’s post will show you how to style so called ‘boyfriend’ jeans in an elegant way. For those of You, who don’t remember – previously I went for more of a sporty combo pairing the very same jeans with trainers and a casual jumper. But that’s not the only way to wear these chic pants! Depending on the occasion and on who I’m meeting with, I pair my clothes with different pieces each time, in order to achieve different looks. I always try to re-use my pieces of clothing in various ways, as then it feels like I have way more options to choose from! It’s also a great way of justifying to myself a purchase of a more pricey item 😉 If I’m gonna be able to match a piece with more than 2 other items and to style it in at least 2 different ways, it’s like buying 2 items for the price of one, righ?! 😉 Only messing… Excuses, excuses! 🙂 Anyway – going back to my boyfriend jeans outfit- this time I went for an office/work friendly combo – jeans matched with a blouse, heels and a clutch bag give the outfit a little bit more chic. Some colourful accessories break the dullness and seriousness of the outfit a little bit, and mark the arrival of long awaited Spring!
What are Your little wardrobe/fashion tricks?

With the arrival of Spring Summer ’13 (on the catwalks, not outside your window!), new, fresh trends are starting to make their appearance on the high street (finally the sales are over and we don’t have to look at the same pieces for the 15th time!, and there’s more room for the new collections). I will gradually (post by post) take you through my trend guide for the SS13 season, starting with a come-back of the ‘optical prints’. Building on the stripe trend, geometric prints in black (or black on colour) supported the striped brigade on the catwalks. From clean lines, to abstract geometric patterns, and from monochrome to intense and bright hints of colour, the SS13 wardrobe is anything but boring. Rich in exiting motifs, one stand out piece can create your whole look. Let it be a blouse, bag or a tunic. Stick to black and white if you want to go for a sleek and modern look, or brighten up a monochrome piece with a hint of colour (like I did with my b&w top and coloured leg), or use a mixture of tones if you want to give your look a retro feel. One rule to remember – there’s no rules! Even print on print (both top & bottom) is allowed, although I’d try to avoid it in ever-day situations.
For an inspiration I’ve visited a lovely Art Gallery in the heart of Dublin – Balla Ban.

Michael Kors has started a little revolution in trainers world when he released his new collection of shiny & glittery sneakers. Perfect for all the cool kids, and girls who find regular trainers a little bit boring. For me, they are a perfect link between edgy look and girly charm. Dressy and comfy all at the same time. As I can’t really afford to spend my monthly wage on a pair of MK trainers 😉 , I found their alternative in New Look. In combination with a military shirt, finished of with shiny jewels on the pockets, they create a look with an urban feel to it. As you see – no rules apply here, which allows us to mix styles that you wouldn’t think could work together. Jewels and a khaki shirt, ripped jeans and a bit of glitter – in fashion world, the sky is the limit, so don’t be afraid to experiment. Oh, and don’t forget to accessorize!
